Business Analyst II, Information Management, is responsible for analyzing business processes, leading process and technical discussions, facilitating solution definition, and leading collaboration to successfully integrating business processes, roles and technology to ensure client business objectives are met.
This role is within the Information Management group, which is focused Commercial Data Warehouse solutions, Master Data Management and Project Management.
Our organization works exclusively in the life sciences (Pharma/ BioTech/ Medical Device).
But frequently collaborates with other Slipstream practices to create comprehensive data solutions for biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies at different stages of market maturity.
Common collaboration partners include CRM, Digital solutions, and Business Intelligence.
The Business Analyst II operates with a high level of interactive communication with both internal resources and clients.
High levels of business and technology understanding are required, while being sensitive to client culture around technology process needs and integration.
The role partners with technical architects and other technical resources to deliver high quality business cases and business process designs using standard templates.
As a member of the team, the Business Analyst II will collaboratively ensure that proposed solutions meet established Slipstream quality and compliance standards while still meeting business solution needs.
Business Analyst II must be able to listen complex technical and project discussions, then quickly capture the actions and discussions in documents that are clear, complete, and well written.
Outstanding communications skills are a must.
Key
Responsibilities:
Work closely with the clients to understand their business processes as related to the needs of pre-determined project scopeCollaborate closely with the system architects, project manager, and technology resources to guide on impact of potential system design to the customer's business processPresent complex data and solutions in a clear and concise manner to both internal and external stakeholdersBe a central point to tie multiple technical solutions together to create a comprehensive solution to meet client needs.
Such as a Commercial Data Warehouse, CRM, and MDM solution.
Work with colleagues, architects, and project teams, to identify the capabilities required to ensure outcomes/requirements are clearly understood and can be delivered.
Work with Process/Product owners to identify and devise solutions that optimize business process performance, capability, and competitiveness.
Review customer's current processes to gather requirements and understand gaps of existing and/or proposed technology/core solutions.
Work with project leadership to determine mitigation strategies and record them appropriately to proactively reduce the impact of scope creep.
Generate documentation to detail the customer solution (business, technical, and testing).
This is supported by a flexible standard deliverable package that generally consists of an Approach Note, Requirements Specification, Data Interface Description, DataHandling Descriptions, and Work Instructions.
Create and populating project artifacts in products such as Smartsheet and JIRA (Cloud-based tools)Facilitate and lead design sessions with the business and technical implementation team to identify functional and technical requirementsParticipate as a business analyst team member to help grow and refine documentation standardsCapable of planning and managing their own and other team member's activities to meet deliverables and deadlines.
Technical leadership for junior business analysis staff and responsible for their ongoing development in the business analysis process.
Including assignment and monitoring of work to junior business analysis team members.
Qualifications:
Degree in life sciences or computer sciences or a related field strongly desired.
Minimum 5-7 Years commercial pharma/ biotech IT business analysis including systems such as Veeva CRM, Data Warehousing, Master Data Management and Business Intelligence ReportingOutstanding communication skills both verbally and written.
Must be able to communicate calmly in high pressure situations.
Strong base understanding of standard data warehouse designs elements such as data ingestion, modification, and extractionData-driven problem solver with the ability to analyze data, extract trends from analysis, and present a storyAbility to articulate complex concepts in a simple and coherent manner, both verbally and in writingProven experience of working with complex integrated systems, using creative and strategic thinking to deliver exceptional resultsModerate SQL skills and ability to explore, understand, and document complex data systems and structuresStrong ability to listen to discussion and capture requirements in meaningful, precise manner that can be understood by both technical and non-technical participants.
Ability to present concepts and lead discussions on design issues with authority and poise both internally and to clients.
This is a client-facing role.
Ability to collaborate and relate to team members from a large variety of backgrounds on a daily basis -Excellent Microsoft Office computer skills (Word, Excel, PPT, Visio).

Working in a regulated environment, must have life sciences experience.

Place of employment is expected to be 90% remote.
For all remote meetings, all employees are required to be on-camera with appropriate business casual attire and background.
On occasion, some travel to client locations or company meetings may be required.
Travel will be no more than 10%.
Work Schedule:
Typical schedule will be Monday to Friday, 8:
00 AM to 5:
00 PM.
Must be flexible to accommodate departmental needs and client/staff time zones.
At times, overtime maybe needed to accomplish deliverables which could include evenings or weekend hours.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods in front of a screen.
The ability to move about to accomplish tasks.
Adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions.
Communicating verbally and written word with others to exchange information.
Exposure to a standard office environment with average room temperatures with no adverse environmental conditions expected.
Ability to travel within the continental USA via plane or car required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
