ACP is seeking an experienced, nurturing and enthusiastic Teacher to plan and implement activities that foster social, emotional, physical and cognitive development to their group of children each day.
A Child's Place offers year round programs for infants through Pre-K.
Primary Responsibilities include:
Responsible for the supervision and daily classroom functions of a group of children.
Adhere to regulations of the Department of Human Services and ACP policies and procedures.
Plan and implement approved lessons, activities and daily schedule in accordance with ACP curriculum.
Build a partnership with the parents and families of the children in your care.
Accept all responsibilities for cleanliness of the classroom and common areas of the center.
Work collaboratively with co-teachers and management team.
Promote positive work environment.
Maintain professional personal appearance, personnel file and professional development plan, adhering to the guidelines with ACP Employee Handbook.
Attend required staff meetings and complete necessary trainings.
Assists in other capacities as needed by Director or Assistant Director.
Desired Skills and
Experience:
High School Diploma required -Associates or BA in Early Childhood/Education or Human Services Field preferred Two years of documented experience working with children specifically with Toddler children.
Ability to obtain all childcare clearances and additional information for childcare compliance.
Must be able to lift 40 pounds in connection with handling children for child safety and emergency situations.
Friendly, nurturing and professional demeanor.
Ability to be conform to a schedule with reliability and dependability.
